The Venue

The 17th century spectacular Sussex Barn underwent a £3 million refurbishment in June 2009, tastefully restoring it to its former glory but also adding a contemporary twist. This will be available entirely for the personal use of you and your evening guests.

The high ceilings and low wooden beams give the barn unique acoustics which make for an ideal location for a live band or alternatively, an integrated music system.

With such wonderful countryside surroundings, the Barhatch Marquee invites the 'outside inside' to create a very special venue.

Situated adjacent to the Sussex Barn, with connecting walkway to the Snug Bar and patio, the Barhatch Marquee can comfortably seat up to 140 guests for your event and has stunning views over the golf course. Nearby in the Members' Children's play area, available to function attendees throughout the day.

In the winter, the marquee's temperature is thermostatically controlled whilst in the summer the sides of the marquee open up onto the course for al-fresco entertaining.

The Snug Bar will be yours exclusively for reception drinks, with double doors leading onto the adjoining patio, enjoying stunning views over the golf course.

The Winterfold Ceremony Room is located just off the Sussex Barn. This bright and airy room, with thermostatic temperature control, is our dedicated ceremony room for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships.

Decorated with flowers to your own taste, with the red carpet leading down to the front of the room and sound system playing your own choice of music, the room has a capacity of 70 to witness the start of a life together.
